  • Word-of-Mouth Marketing Summit 2011: Day 1

by Steven Van Belleghem on November 17, 2011in the categories Branding, Conversations, Social Web4 Comments

The ‘Word of Mouth Marketing summit 2011’ kicked of yesterday in Las Vegas. I’m participating for het third time and the start of the congress was a very promising one straight away: a good keynote and interesting cases by nice companies. My first observation is that this congress focuses more on the core of word-of-mouth marketing and less on word-of-mouth campaigns. After all good word-of-mouth can only flourish when clients have a positive experience with your products and services, which is an evolution I encourage wholeheartedly. This is how I experienced the first day of the annual Womma Summit 2011.

Most Dutch brands are still taking their first steps on Facebook. And as such, the presence on Facebook activity can be compared to the new kid at school. They don’t know anyone, they don’t have much to say for themselves, and they’re desperate for everyone to like them.

  • How to go Viral with Video Content Marketing

by Timothy Mouton on May 26, 2011in the categories Activation, Conversations, Social WebNo Comments

Online content marketing is a fairly recent marketing trend whereby companies or brands offer relevant and valuable online content to their target audiences. They do that to attract, acquire and engage new customers.

Content marketing can come in many different forms and flavours: press releases, blog posts, Slideshare presentations or even social media messages such as tweets, Facebook or LinkedIn posts. Video, however, is the most powerful medium, as it appeals to a combination of human senses: motion, sight and sound.

When perceived as being valuable, your content will be shared and generate additional visibility outside your own website. Make sure your video is embeddable by other websites. Therefore, video content marketing is a very engaging way to effectively spread your message.
