Last week we shared ‘How Heineken says thank you for one million likes on Facebook

This is how Porsche takes care of its fans. To celebrate the one-million Facebook likes, Porsche carved the names of 27.000 Facebook fans on a special model – Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrid race car – displayed at the Porsche Museum Stuttgart, Germany.

They set up a Facebook page a few months earlier where people could join:

“Although we are witness to passionate customers and fans every day, it is neat to set another Porsche milestone by growing to over 1,000,000 strong on Facebook,” said Josh Cherfoli, online relationship and marketing manager for Porsche Cars North America, “It’s an excellent opportunity to help us connect with our fan base, and we thank them all for sharing our passion.”

This is the result:

There is also a special ‘Thank you a million times’ – page where you can find out where your name is carved on the car, if you’re one of the lucky ones!

In the mean time Porsche already has 1.355.872 likes on its Facebook page.

  6. Many of us will be inspired to write an article based on articles from others that we have been reading. This article however looks more an advanced copy & paste action than an inspiration. Makes me wonder what content on this site is actually genuine. Next time better add a link to the source that inspired you: http://bit.ly/eG4AtM and http://bit.ly/e6VWTN

  7. Dag Bert, Leo, Jan Willem, Peter, nnIk bergijp jullie feedback.
